I have somewhat forthright views on the Great War - Lions led by donkeys etc for one - which he didnt like, Siege at Kut(*), and Lawrence was a madman.

(*) Kut was so bad they had an inquiry post war - Inquiry into the Mesopotamian campaign. Idea was OK, in order to take Baghdad, from the south, you have to take Nasiriya. a hundred y later, Saddam capitulated 2003 when Nasiriya fell.
