Richie Benaud-of blessed memory-always felt that an eleven would yield up a captain. Neither Rhodes nor Bohannan would be in the best XI even allowing for present batting weaknesses. Have a look at some of the captains in IPL with little or no previous experience. Elgar and Cummins for SA and Australia have made it work.
