Yes mallyh but who pronounces ious as EE US - they are used in cryptic crosswords as ious on the ends of words but this is a "sounds like" quiz
and I.O.U sounds like i owe you, not EE US.

I agree JJ, If the suggested answer is correct then it isn't really a good clue. I have only managed to come up with the same suggestion but not happy with it.

The problem I had was trying to find a 6 letter word for glaring angrily and glower was the only one I could find.
