Some of his previous comments have been ok but imho he`s lost the plot on this one ( somewhat like Putin )

I suspect he's right, but that's not to say Nato have been doing anything wrong. On the contrary, their response to the Russian annexation of the Crimea was extremely timid - hardly "barking".

Bear in mind the Pople has no particular authority in Russia, where they're Orthodox, not Roman Catholic.

Having read his comments in full now think he should just shut up and stay away.
Evidence is emerging that Putin informed Orban of his invasion plans in advance and they discussed the possibility of Hungary annexing Hungarian-speaking parts of Ukraine.

It seems the Pope is a thinking man and wants to see both sides of an argument. On this one the whole world is against Putin so has the pope not thought it through properly ?.

Yeah, I think the Pope has little to offer at this time.

I thought he was going to declare Patriarch Kirill an antichrist ( for blessing putins troops - no that is not part of his body) but he held back on that ( thereby not wrecking a thousand years of ecclesiatical er manoeuvring)

Every pope is either a liar or insane. What they say is only important because so many people listen to them.
