It was full bodied and creamy and not so bitter as i find it is in Britain, I am about to depart to go to Athlone as being a professional singer am entering a singing competition beg of october, so I shall be sampling the guiness too ! I will let you know my findings.
Is draught Giuness still brewed in the UK?
The London brewery closed yrs ago.
Was in Kerry and Clare a few months ago and the Guiness was excellent in all the pubs I visited. I agree it tasted a little different and, to me better, than a UK pint. Maybe it doesn't like being sloshed about whilst crossing the Irish Sea, I didn't.
Nowhere sold the extra cold guiness that is available in the UK :)

Guinness was produced in London, until 2005, since when all of it has been brewed in Dublin. As it's a pasteurised (keg) beer, though, it doesn't make much difference to a real ale drinker, where it's brewed. In fact, the only live Guinness, that I know of, is 'Guinness Export', which sold in Ireland, but not in Britain. This seems to be at odds with the description of being an export beer.
