I used this crossing maybe a couple of times a year BC, Before Covid, last time was in 2019 and had a pre-paid account. As I am going to be using it in July I thought I would check my balance and was unable to get into my account. It transpires that if it isn't used for a year it is cancelled, an email is allegedly sent though I never got one. They are sending me a refund for the balance and I have had to open another account. It made me wonder how many people think they are in credit but in fact will get a fine when they use the crossing.

It makes me wonder how often you check your Spam folder, as that's probably where the emails have ended up. They come from
[email protected]
and mine have always got through without any problems. I suggest whitelisting that email address in your account, to ensure that such emails don't go astray in future.
I also have a Dartford Crossing account. I use it twice a year normally, once when I go to Eastbourne and again when I return home. I always check my balance before I plan to use it. I would advise you to do the same.

Checking my balance is exactly what I was doing when I discovered the account had been closed and there's been nothing from them in any email anywhere.
