I can only surmise that there’s a furore because the leader of one of the main political parties has actually come clean, been honest and upfront about what occurred and has stated that he will resign if issued a FPN.
Honesty and integrity has been sadly lacking from the political sphere for the last 2 years, ergo his actions have come as a bit of a shock in contrast to what has become the norm. Imagine that?
