This has happened just a few times from I got the above. I be watching a programme and a little information comes up - saying something like this

"your idle TV will turn off so press any button".

I do press any button but after a few minutes it still goes off and goes completely blank.

I probably think it is something to do with Setting but don't know where to start.

Any help would be grateful. Thanks

this has happened to me in the past. Yes, you need to go into the settings menu and it will tell you the time before the tv switches itself off. You will be able to advance that time easily.
It's nothing to do with your Sky Q box. The message is generated by your telly, so you need to press any button on the ***TVs*** remote control (and NOT the Sky Q one) to prevent the set switching itself off.

I'm guessing that you've got a Sony TV. If so, you can disable the function altogether by following the instructions here:

yes Chris - I have Sony but my goodness I have been using SkyQ all along - will even have to learn the Sony remote control again.

Will try your instructions and thanks again.
That feature is also on Samsung tvs.

There is a simple option - just change the volume occasionally - that way the tv will register that its still being viewed and not think its been left unattended.
