Sat Nav
Am thinking of buying Sat Nav as I am hopeless with maps and get lost all the time. I only want to spend up to 200 and I wondered if anyone can recommend something that is easy to use and fairly accurate. Have looked at some but can't decide between Tom Tom and Navman but of course there could be something else. Please don't blind me with technology, all I want is something that will get me from A to B, it doesn't have to have a facility to make me a cup of tea half way there!

New models coming out all the time of course but I think the TT One was advertised on TV recently at under 200 - PC world I think ( no I don't work there!) Google it and find the best price.
I did actually go ahead and get the TomTom One and it does it all for me. I don't really like the appearance of the Navman or indeed the bigger TomToms, the One is quite neat. Like most of these things, you can't spend forever agonising over what to do and when you have bought one, stop looking at them coz you're bound to see a better deal and that will just p**s you off. Look at computors, I can't believe how cheap they're getting and to think I paid 1200 only 5 years ago for something that I can't get the flints for now.... Take a deep breath and dive in, it's only money.
I've got a Tom Ton One and it's great for me, too. Been driving to Holland now for a number of years and regularly get lost with motorway changes. This year my Tom Tom took me from door to door - arriving at the house in Arnhem with the words ' You have reached your destination.' And I had ! The instructions are clear and timely, with a pictorial screen direction format to back up the voice messages - as well as other useful data. Go wrong and the satellites will pick you up and redirect you, even to telling you to do a U turn where safe to do so ! Great.
