Does anyone else use Wordplays crossword solver for help. I'm getting error messages at the moment, such as, Internal Server Error. Some other parts of the site appear to be working alright. I tried emailing the webmaster from my phone yesterday and got the same message returned, I've tried from computer today and think that might have gone through.

. . . and a tool that I wouldn't be without (and use greatly when setting my own crosswords) is TheSage. It's not a website but a fantastic piece of free software that can act as a dictionary, a thesaurus, an anagram finder and much more. My favourite feature is its 'wildcard' one, whereby asking it for all answers fitting '?a??t?e' instantly offers these possibilities:
