Listener 4714 Run To Seed By Phi

A decent puzzle. Most of the normal clues were straightforward but I found a couple of halves of the double clues quite tough.
It all came together neatly enough in the end.
Thanks, Phi.

Good solid clues, then a nasty moment when I thought I'd hit a brick wall with the theme, finally some nice fiddling with the grid to get the eventual entries.
We don't see this type of puzzle often enough - it seems to have been largely supplanted by ones requiring either extended grid-staring or a leap of faith into GWIT territory - I'm very happy to say neither of those applied in this case.
Thanks Phi - very good indeed.

Yes, a fine puzzle - I especially enjoyed the endgame.
I had an alternative answer for one of the double clue parts which held me up for a while, but apart from that it progressed smoothly and all came together very pleasingly at the end - thanks Phi!
I also invested in the I paper today, so it's going to be a bank holiday Phi-fest.
