Sorry Barry, I'm only seeing this now. I didn't see Countdown today. I tried Googling for a reason but couldn't find any info

I've since found out that Stephen, the red headed guy currently on a roll, won the game but the episode can't be broadcast. His subsequent game(s) will be.

My guess is that his opponent died, has been arrested or involved in some scandal. Maybe he wasn't who he claimed to be. It is going to drive me mad :D
