Well of course she’s wrong: it’s not the fact that she might not like Blackpool or Birmingham. That is her opinion which in the case of Birmingham certainly I’d disagree with. But it’s just opinion.
Sounds the dismissive nature of the comment.
In fact maybe she doesn’t think they are awful: in a way that would be worse.

You have hit the nail on the head. We had the Northern Powerhouse and now levelling up. Empty promises. No money, no action, and no closing the disparity in North/South funding. They keep doing the same con under a new name, and nothing changes.
