Stifling here. I was going to drink some elderflower champagne to keep myself cool. Unfortunately, the bottle exploded. All over me, all down the walls, the floor - what a bloody mess. Bet I taste nice now though!

LB, the weather temperatures are always based on air temperature (their being measured "in the shade") and not in direct sunshine.

That's why yours was ten degrees higher than the forecast ("shade") temperature.
