Apart from the microwave I'm the same.
Also no longer have Broadband or a TV.
(Or a CD player)

What don't you have that is considered ''essential''?

I almost never use my CD player because all my music is digitised on a hard drive. I have Virgin cabled fast broadband because I stream everything.

I don't have a kettle either. I have a boiling water tap, it cost a fortune but I wouldn't be without it.

About the only things that I iron are button up shirts.
And they are mainly for funerals nowadays....

Except for the microwave, I have none of the other items. My dryer died ages ago, and I quickly realised I didn't "need" it.

I have microwave and a shower now (because I can no longer get out of the bath) but very few of today's "essentials".
I cannot understand the need for a dishwasher even when there were 5 of us in the house.
