Anyway, on a more general note, what I've seen so far in this Wimbledon is disappointing. Lots of unforced errors, not many winning shots. A good example of that was the Williams/Tan game last night. I thought it was pathetic at times with both players seeming to be playing soft practice shots down the centre of the court, back to each other. Not good.

She needs to find a coach who will also be able to steer her in the right direction re sponsorships etc. she needs someone experienced with the stresses of living away from home, negative press, media attention, a cool head and good work ethic. Also a good sports psychologist with experience in teens suddenly thrown into the spotlight
I think that Emma R. would benefit hugely by taking-up her university place and carry on playing tennis at uni. and national level for a year. She was either badly advised or is headstrong - I err towards the former. Get her life back on balance and then come back with balance to add to her experience. I suspect, however, that she has signed too many contracts to do this.
Lots of armchair coaches here.
I think the tennis is pretty good and personally I don’t miss the slap bang serve and volley as the rule rather than the exception.
The real irritant for me is the crowd: at least we won’t hear “let’s go Andy let’s go” again this year, whose ever idea that was should have to face John Isner serving without a box.
