We set the Sewing Bee to record and got tennis. Think Sewing Bee had been changed to BBC2 so we had to watch on iPlayer.

We struggled between three for the winner, Helen. Did think they would choose a different one though.

Must admit, I was disappointed in the choice of winner.

The garment she made was, I think, the only one which fulfilled the brief, it was totally gorgeous.
As to whether or not she should have won, I think it was a difficult choice this year, the last few were all pretty equal in ability.

It was a difficult choice this year. I won't mention finalist names but one lady who fascinated me was Gill. Only been sewing for three years and how she does it I just don't know. Sewing can be fiddly enough with my two arms!

The whole series was excellent. Three of the eventual finalists just blossomed as the contest went on and developed so much during the series that they overtook the favourites from the early rounds, who couldn't raise their own game to match.

The eventual winner could have been any one of three of the finalists, and I wouldn't have quibbled with the outcome. The actual winner was well worthy of the prize - as Vagus says.

One of the best TV series for a very long time - and an utter disgrace that the BBC dumped it out of its scheduled place - there must be a lot of very angry people who now have a recording of a load of balls.

I was surprised at Brogan, she seemed to develop a couldn't care less attitude in the last few weeks. At the start I had her down as the winner, but at the end I was surprised she made the final. Wonder when it was recorded as 2 of the finalist were shown with new babies in the final credits, obviously a lot of celebrating went on!!

Just seen this Gness. I am trying very hard not to read the posts, as I don't want to know who won. I have discovered that it is on again on Saturday, so I have set to record again and hope they don't take it off for tennis once more !

I can't watch on iplayer, my laptop isn't up to it and it keeps stopping and starting ! Thank you anyway.
