Well he will be if the fact he is thru is not leaked to the press, it will be in his contract that he is not allowed to tell anyone. If he does and the press break the story he will be dropped.

it doesn't matter if the press find out, snippets are deliberately leaked to the press a few days before the programme is screened, eg all the Scottish papers had the story about Kerry getting thru to boot camp on Fri and Saturday, yet programme was not shown till Saturday night. It generates more press coverage and column inches and so x-factor can't lose. The same thing used to be said of BB, if anyone found out you were in, you'd get dropped, yet this year (and to an extent last year) many of the contestants had been identified before the launch show aired.
