Just looked onto the middle of the garden, before it got dark, there was a large lump of what looks like a clod of dry earth on the grass, which must have fallen from the sky! I will have a good look at it tomorrow, but what could it be? It isn’t heavy, but dark brown with bits in…. Should I get it tested somewhere? Spooky ….

Moss, mud, seeds and stems.

I think Tilly2 has it. It's been dislodged by a bird looking for something to eat.
I've see birds doing the same with pieces of moss.
