It’s Friday, so here we go again . .
It’s a middling start for me this week, with FOUR out of seven in the main quiz:

Middling again the kids’ quiz too. THREE out of five for me:

At least I’m consistent this week! A middling FIVE out of ten for me in the Timed Teaser:

So, will YOUR scores match the weather this week and be HOT, HOT, HOT? Or will they be more like some welcome rain, i.e. DAMP AND SOGGY? Please tell!

Well done on beating me, GG! I hope that you didn't meet Don H backstage on one of the band's more recent tours. Quote: "There’s no partying, no alcohol, it’s like a morgue backstage" ;-)

Nah, I'd just say that you're being consistent, Caran ;-)
[Thanks for joining in, anyway!]
Jim:
Back in the days when I was largely unemployed, I decided to treat myself to a half bottle of whisky at Christmas. Due to having almost nothing to buy it with, I made the mistake of buying the cheapest supermarket 'value' product I could find. The taste was so foul that even mixing it 50-50 with ginger wine, to make a Whisky Mac, didn't result in a pleasant drink. On the other hand though, a blended whisky like Monkey Shoulder can outshine many single malts.
