They don't go any higher than 32C, which isn't particularly uncomfortable (although, of course, humidity needs to be taken into account as well). It's still below body temperature, which means that it's possible to lose body heat to the air. It's when the air temperature exceeds normal body temperature that things can get a bit worrying, as it's impossible for one's body to lose heat. For example, it's going to get to 41C in Cambridge on Monday!

So did I! However when I clicked on the °F symbol, expecting to be able to change it to °C, it only offered me different locations, rather than a different temperature scale. That's why I had to call on Aunty Beeb for help.
Being surrounded by water can sometimes mean that there are lots of cooling winds (as in the Canary Islands) but in other locations it can just mean that there's very high humidity (as in Singapore). I suspect that Long Island might fall into the latter category.
