I do, however, find it incredible that the three Blair governments maintained that one in ten people was LGBT (there was no Q or Queer then) and resources, including the National Lottery, were allocated accordingly. It was a lie and deprived of others receiving the right to receive a proper assessment of the opportunity to receive charitable funds. Eventually, under Brown, that 'guideline' was very quietly dropped and there was a reappraisal in Whitehall that a truer percentage was one in a hundred.
