Delightful Afternoon

I haven't seen my my great nephew from he was 5 months until this afternoon. He is is now 18months old - my niece (his mother) (grandmother obsessed LOL) was minding him and brought him up and what a lovely day I had.

There he is struggling to walk but very good but his personality is to die for.

Niece says to him - "do you want a song - up he hops on her head and she tunes him ba babblack sheep, then she asked did he want more, puts the head on her shoulder and another wee song ensues.

Then he fascinates with with Maxie (makkkie) - pets him - although a wee bit too near Makkie nose(I'm a little nervous at this) as Maxie is not used to children but they bonded quite well.

I haven't had a little baby in my house probably with all this pandemic - for quite a while.

His name is Cairbre (an Irish name) - he is Irish/American and so he "told me today he is going to Boston next week.

What a lovely afternoon with a beautiful baby. Very endearing.

I kept saying can you say my name Jenny - no no no - but when parents collected him - he said bye Jenny.

How lovely is that.

Nothing boring at all about having a wee baby around, and you had a lovely afternoon, jj. I have my 10 year old granddaughter to look after for 4 hours on Friday ( I'll bet that costs me a fortune as usual, but she's worth it ).

How do you pronounce Cairbre jj?

I've never heard that name before, jenny. Apparently it means 'chariot rider'.

LOL - it is a funny name ( never heard of it myself until he was born) but he comes from an Irish daddy and American Irish mother (Cairbre was supposed to be a real old Irish King (real old king)

Carbre -- pronounced I think sounds as Barbra only with C (Carbra) but you know with the Irish fadas etc. Family had difficulty dealing with it but we've got used to it now. Sister still says Cobra (sorry sis) he is not a snake. OMG far from it - a wee darling. I love him
