Bbc Quiz : Week 29
56 Answers
It’s Friday again, in a week where we can all blame the heat for our low scores ;-)
Having provided my excuse in advance, I can now reveal that I scored just THREE out of seven in the main quiz this week:

Another THREE for me (out of five, of course) in the junior quiz:
https:/ /www.bb c.co.uk /newsro und/513 18780
I did a bit better with the Timed Teaser, scoring SEVEN out of ten this week:

So, will you be blaming the heat for your low scores or will you be blazing your way to success? Do tell!

Not the prettiesr place to stay in Suffolk, buenchico. I was born and brought up in Lowestoft, my sister lives in Oulton Broad. Not sure if you know the area but OB is quite pleasant, part of the broads, handy for the marshes.
Well done, LiK, beating me as usual. (Actually, I think that should read 'as always'. You're too darned good for me!)

Welcome to the 13-aggregate Club, Twix!
Ditto, Emmie!
Well done with that decent 5, HW4!
Aha! I remember now, Roo. You've mentioned Lowestoft before and I've written about what an (almost) total dump it is these days. The actual road called High Street (rather than London Road North, which serves as the town's shopping high street), to the north of the town centre, has a certain charm to it and London Road South has a few decent charity shops but, over all, the place is still a dump. Even the beach isn't as nice as it used to be, now that the rock groynes (introduced to try to prevent the sand all being washed away again) are in place. They make it look rather ugly.
Oulton Broad is OK though. There's not a lot there, apart from Nicholas Everitt park and a few shops but it's still quite pleasant though. (I keep telling myself that I really must re-visit some of the pubs there, as some of them seem to be well-reviewed for their food. From where I live, in Needham Market, I can either travel to Oulton Broad North via Norwich or to Oulton Broad South via Ipswich).
