Have you got the latest edition 4.12.6. The last version 4.11 used to be slow for me too.

it says limewire pro,,,which i thought was the latest,,but its only 4.9

I had limewire pro 9 too - as I was having a lot of problems (slow, breaking connections, not loading incomplete files, error messages) I decided to get the latest one, which seems better. It's only �10.00 or so, so it might be worth thinking about.

Don't pay for limewire (unless you want to support the authors), since it's free. Download the latest limewire pro here:
