Grinding Pain In Left Shoulder Spreading

across the top of my chest a little way. It has started going up the left side of my neck as well. Had it 24/7 for at least a month. The only bit of relief I get is if I lie in bed on that shoulder then the pain is not quite as bad.

Anyone any idea what it can be? Don't shout at me for not going to the doc please, I'll cry!

ps i think sqad probably mistyped the dose for ibuprofen which is 400mg 2-3 times a day

Not going to shout at you but do you not think it would be wise to go to a doctor's? Do you believe that advice from fellow ABers is preferable?

The tablets mentioned are safe, as lomg as you are not taking any anticoagulants such as warfarin, then dose and intervals need to be altered accordingly

Well I have taken two tablets at 5.30pm, 7.30pm and 9.30pm. The pain has just started to ease now.

So thanks all of you for your advice. I may well get a decent night's sleep now. xxx
