Mobile Phone Suddenly Stopped Working When I Was On App Weird Message

Hi there
This morning I was on my mobile phone using an app to check local bus times and the app suddenly froze something like STB stopped working close app or wait. I tried to close app. Nothing happened the whole screen went blank, odd thing I can still receive phone calls on it with the persons name coming up but apart from that can’t access the main screen. Very annoying

You need to restart your phone.

It won’t let me restart it. I press the button and nothing happens. I try to turn it off and nothing happens

If you take the battery out it will go off, then you can plug it in and restart it. If you can't get the battery out it will go flat eventually.

Try putting it on charge to see if that will restart it

How long have you pressed it for? To force a phone to reboot, you usually need to keep the Power button pressed down for between 15 and 30 seconds.

If that doesn't work, try pressing the Power button and the Volume Down button together for several seconds. (Then, if necessary, try the Power button together with the Volume Up button. One of those combinations usually works!)

Here we see yet anther problem with modern sealed mobiles. You want to remove the battery then put it back yet can't easily do so. Modern phone designers probably need shooting.
