is coming on all the time - I am just in from my wee mechanic I've been going to for years.
He tested the sensors on the car and said all of them are faulty (forgive me not knowing motor jargon) but he said there's a pump with these sensors and they need completely replaced and reprogrammed and said only the garage that I bought the car from can only do this - the ordinary mechanic cannot reprogramme.
Anyway he said you know for the car people to do this could cost me £2,500 ie buying the pump and reprogramming.
He said he will and try and think of something over the weekend and see if there is a way around this.
Well there's no way I'll be paying £2,500 - I'd rather put money towards another car.
This light coming on would not pass the MOT.
So that's my news from this morning.

ok Ferlew - but it my four sensors on the 4 wheels - I trust my mechanic very much - I do have to bring it down to him on Monday - he wanted me to bring it down on Thursday but it didn't suit me so maybe on Monday he may have thought of something. He was more concerned about the reprogramming as he said only the car dealership I bought know the "codes".
I couldn't Davebro - as I am going to this fella for years and years and find him very honest.
Maybe on Monday he can think of even replacing the 4 sensors which would cost me going by Ferlew £800-£1000.
We'll see - I have left my name again with the car dealership if a wee runaround comes in. The last one was 2016 with 6,000 miles but sure I changed my mind again.

JJ yes but did he turn off the lights and see if they come back on? Often these things can go wrong once but be working normally after but the light stays on. That is especially true of ABS, sometimes the sensors can get covered in gunge and the light comes on but later they get cleared and work again. That can happen for any sensor so the first thing they should do is put out all the lights and see if they come back on. They then should clean them and do it again. If they stay on then there is a real problem. many garages use them to con people into spending thousands when they don;t have to.
