Lipid Profile/Triglycerides.. Are They Really That High?

I had a lipid profile blood test and one of the results (triglycerides) was abnormal. It was non fasting (apparantly they don’t ask you to fast anymore). I had a meal at 12.30pm and the blood test was at 5pm. The health centre informed me that my gp is going to ring me about the result. I am a normal weight but my diet hasn’t been too great recently. I get plenty of exercise walking and running though.

Could the time of day of the blood test have affected the results?

I’m concerned as I’m not that old and was wondering shouldn’t my body be keeping the levels within range?

Here are the results I’ve included a picture

Thanks I included more details in my question last time I was a bit vague

Thanks for being sure

I don’t know why my gp is contacting me about it. I was overanalysing a bit last week and imagining that fat was building up in my arteries etc ha. Despite reading up on triglycerides I’m still unsure of how they work ie do they sometimes go out of range for everyone
There are many disorders of Lipid metabolism, dyslipidaemias they are called, but your tests are normal and don'y show any signs of abnormality.
Depending upon your past medical history and family history and the opinion of your GP, he might suggest putting you on statins.

My opinion....I wouldn't put you on statins and those tests are certainly within normal limits and that is my opinion.
