The head of the Russian garrison occupying the plant st Enerhodar, Zapirizhzhya, has threatened to blow it up if they have to abandon it, and they have reportedly mined it.
It seems like a rather silly threat but who knows.
They have been shelling parts of it from outside while those inside take cover in bunkers.
And they are using the plant as cover to shell a city - Nikopol - across the river.
Meanwhile 25,000 Russian forces massed in and around Kherson risk being cut off as Ukraine last night launched another attack on bridges to their rear.
Reportedly huge damage was inflicted on Russian air defences (S300/S400)

Would Ukraine consider causing a nuclear "accident" to make parts of the south uninhabitable for the Russians? I know I would.

RV Jones ( scientist ) in his book 1970 - How I won the War single-handed ( also television series) describes how Hitler threatened in a broadcast to use V3 and V4 weapons ( he had them All Ready!)

and the allies were really pooped by the idea of a radio-active blanket on D day beaches.

In fact David Irving ( yes the holocaust denier) in his 1967 book The Virus House details how the German nuclear effort had not even achieved a controlled chain reaction ( Chicago squash court thing, that one 1941) so was far far behind...

is this the muzzling of dogs thread?

Reassuringly, experts say that the Zaporizhzhya plant is built to high safety standards compared to for example Chernobyl and is likely to be able to withstand shelling. We had this back in March when it was first occupied.
HIMARS o’clock is striking around now in S Ukraine for the occupiers :-)
