Musical Genre That You Cant Stand

Ive got quiet an eclectic taste in music, depending upon the mood that I'm in....
Love some classical stuff to chill out to.
Enjoy metal, punk, new wave and basically anything 80's (Teenage years stuff)
Most pop from the late 70's to the early 90's.
Even enjoy most classical hymns tbh.
(I might be a non-believer, but can still appreciate the evocation of something more, in the same way that I can appriciate pagan/folk music)

Cant stand Jazz...just never understood it? Its just noise.
My son loves Rap! Can't understand the appeal of that either....

Is there a music genre that you hate/Can't understand the appeal of?

Sorry Chris we will have to agree to disagree! But do agree with The Old Rugged Cross, which was on the order of service for the funeral in Stradbroke last week, the full version too! Although she was carried in to Needles and Pins! At 96 she still loved her sixties songs and we used to go to the Midnight Matinees on the pier at Yarmouth where a lot of the groups used to play (she was a pub landlady in Brockdish and it was the only time she could get away).

There are no genres I can't stand.
But some would be musicians, that's a different story.

i can honestly say that i don't like rap as a genre, garage, house, all noise to me.

I like certain music and songs from all genres I guess. I used to hate jazz but I've recently grown to appreciate it. I've loved both acid jazz and jazz funk long before liking jazz.

I really don't like happy, boppy music. 'Girls just wanna have fun' and 'I wanna dance with somebody' spring to mind.
