Lovely rural area to live in the North West

We want to move to a semi rural or rural location in the north west, preferably in cheshire but don't know where to start. We want somewhere with a kind of village life and open countryside, but with obviously low crime rate and good standard of living, any suggestions? Thanks

Try looking on www.rightmove.co.uk......type in the area,type of property you`re after and what sort of price range, then view the properties and write ups, then search that area on google for crime rates etc

It really depends on budget & preferences - around wilmslow & alderley edge is nice but extremely expensive.Around bollington nr macclesfield is nice & less expensive. Knutsford gets lot of noise from manchester airport (as do hale & hale barns). West cheshire is cheaper still, sanbach, nantwich etc, but not as exclusive.
If you would consider lancashire, the ribble valley is more picturesque still.

It has some gorgeous shops too, and very handy for the airport lol

Bunbury. Mr Spudqueens boss (a few years ago) used to live there and after people visited his house and he persuaded people to buy tickets for various events in the village two other families from their work bought houses there and loved it.
