Yes I know that this is in the wrong section.

Ellie Simmonds in Strictly Come Dancing.........I don't watch it personally, but many do and I do have an opinion on this.

Ellie Simmonds an achondrolastic dwarf is going to be dressed up and paraded infront of millions of TV viewers which I think is embarrasing to many who will be watching. I find seeing the disabled paraded in front of the public distasteful and difficult to accept. Others will have differing views.

She will certainly attract the "sympathy vote."

Certainly talented, a personable girl, but in my opinion Strictly Come Dancing is not the stage for her.

For those doubters among you who wonder how it will work - there is an article in today's Mail on Sunday about an American reality star, Terra Jole who has dwarfism and was on Dancing with the Stars. She is 4' 2" and was paired up with a guy who was 5' 7" and she said at least she was facing his chest and not his crotch and she reached the semi-finals. No doubt Ellie Simmonds will be paired with the shortest male dancer and the best of luck to her.

Thv reminds me of the story of a valuable filly being transported in her horse-cart to Epsom - and she ended up preggers. The staff were scratching their heads as to how this could have ever happened and then they realised that the truck had a Shetland pony in it to keep her company...this is often done. Anyway the filly had got right the way down to the correct height and the Shetland had covered her.....

Given Strictly and its past reputation, scandal in the making? Yes, I know that this is scurrilous.....

Unfortunately Tommy Steele is no longer available, he too was 5’7”.
