One of the cases for which I did Jury duty was a drug dealer - police had stopped his car for stolen goods (which his boot was full of) but they also found the drugs. His pleading guilty to an earlier stolen goods charge had to be concealed from the Jury, so we had to keep trooping in and out of court when the Defence or Prosecution wanted to make a "point of law" pertaining to it. Of course we found out after delivering our verdict.
I watch some of the police series such as Police Interceptors and criminals really aren't that bright usually. Why go driving around at stupid speeds or do daft things when you have a car full of drugs, stolen property or weapons? Sometimes they just get stopped for something like a light out, the police must think all their Christmasses have come at once.
