Pet Cover
Hi folks, I am trying to get pet care/insurance for my 7 month old collie. The trouble is that I find none of the policies clear. I am just after a simple one with none of the little tricky conditions they all tie you in knots with which raises my suspicions on how they'd interpret a claim. My ideal one would cover all vet costs for his lifetime and include his checkups, vaccines, accidents etc. Can anyone recommend a particular company and plan you have used and are more than happy with? Many thanks.

The plans only go so far in 10%-15% off this n that so nothing free as such, it wasn't economical. There were too many "limits and conditions" on insurance claims too. As suggested we will put money away and use it if needed, hope not! Was going to put a dog emoji on here but it doesn't work so Ted the collie says thanks all!
Dagan, I think you made the right decision. I have had dogs, cats, horses, all insured at various times- but not one of the different insurers ever paid out.
Petplan were the worst. The most expensive- agreed to pay out, and then informed me I should have got the dog insured 2 weeks before I met him, to be valid.
I now just pay "their" amount for 2 dogs, into a saving account, just for the animals. I also know I can get it if I need to- and without insurance, currently have £7k saved for them- which would have been sat at Petplan otherwise, and their decision on whether to give any back or not.
