Toilet Seat

Just back from toilet and found toilet seat bracket has snapped. May have it about 3 years now since I am unlucky with toilet seats. Soft close and only myself here so doesn't get much abuse.

Do you think 3 years is good

it is exactly the same as mine - same brackets/hinges - but where would you buy one hinge

you probably can't - unless maybe you write to the manufacturer (but they are probably Chinese!)

There would be nothing to go in land fill if they sold you the bracket. Yeppppppee make the brackets weak a we will sell loads of complete seats, laughing all the way to the bank.

this is the toilet seat showing the proper hinge - pretty standard to me. I will bring it to a local bathroom show room

If you buy a new seat the same as your old one it might be a good idea to take the good bracket off the old seat and keep it. It will come in useful when you break the new one;-)
