Wardrobe Clearout.

I have just spent a happy hour going through my main wardrobe. All the black clothes came out first, trousers, cardigans, jackets and tops.
No more black stuff.
Then, all the red clothes which I should never have bought in the first place. Red does not suit me.
Then all my 'work' jackets which I shall never wear again, apart from two which look good with casual trousers/jeans. The charity shops are in for a field day.
I feel strangely elated. A good job done. Now what to do with all the spare coat hangers?

Try my mother - 370x 30bags to the top of the drive for weekly clearance over 18 months.
4 van loads to a vintage shop and take your pick of roughly 145 dresses, 120 jackets, 115 coats, 110tops and blouses and 75/300 shoes, the 225 having failed my sister's flex test on the sole - plus the scarves and the accessories - we made about £1500 - then there were the Cancer Research donations of circa another 50 bags of cheaper wear, such as from M+s.....
You should have seen the pantry and what came out of there.

yep, Tilly, in a home with advanced Alzheimer's - she's been on 'death-row' twice, aka 'End of Life' but has come back - 2/3rds of Alzheimers show some form of OCD behaviour - and if they showed it in earlier in life, it can be particularly severe. My eldest sister and I reckoned that the replacement cost in 2019 money was in excess of £200k.For example, we unearthed a shopping list of hers for coming down to London in 1973 and it totalled £4k back then - not that she would have bought all but still over £25k in today's money.
