Girls And Makeup

What? What? What?
What am I seeing nowadays with girls and their makeup?
For goodness sake they look as if they have just facedived into their makeup bag and not looked at the result.
Foundation that is just a circle line round the face and chin, streaks of brown and white across cheeks and strange smudges about the nose and eyes!!! What The Funicular.
Do they not want to look nice nowadays? Do they just want to look like they have pancaked stuff on? Don't they realise they look ridiculous and that their going about their daily life face is not the same as 'it might actually look OK in photos because of lighting and such like' simply isn't the same!!
I know I must be old and decrepit for this but honestly... if the site allowed emoticons I would have a face palm right nor.
OK sorry about that...rant over. Well till I spot another one lol

Colour was BIG, and eye makeup in particular was a bit bright. I remember using shades of brown, mustard...or several shades of green. Oh...and twiggy lashes painted on. As for my daughter...when she was in her teens, she was walked " the Egyptian " because of the heavy black eye liner she wore. So...over done and garish makeup is not new...girls will always do as they please.
I think that the young generations makeup is much more structured and organic compared to makeup in the 70’s and 80’s.
New Romantics, glam punk/rock, Emos etc... everyone has their time and unfortunately the older lot will never like or understand the makeup or fashion of the younger generations and vice versa, lol.

I've always tended to go for a natural look with make up. Daughter is getting married in June and we are having hair and make up done for the day. We had a trial run a couple of weeks ago for a christening we were attending, my hair looked great, but I had to ask her to redo my make up, it was so unreal, really heavy, I didn't look like me at all.
Hi, Traci....there is a tendency for professional make up artists to go a bit heavy.......
As you age there is a balance, I think......I'm still heavier on the eyes than some....well most of my friends....but I'm lucky in that they are wrinkle free so far....
It's when the make up starts wandering around, in and out of our wrinkles that we look silly....
Have a lovely wedding....x
And yes, Minty....she is quite a looker still....and so enthusiastic.....x
