I bought some coffee this morning, and the packaging bears the slogan "93 cups".

Which led me to wonder how this fits in with Trade Description legislation. What if I only got 92 cups - would I have a case for a refund ?

I feel cheated...I only get 52 with mine. And another doesn't give any number...is it bottomless?
You'd be jailed for making a mochary of the court.
Better get down to solving it - espresso.
You'd only have grounds if it was proper coffee.
Were you using egg cups ?
you might get a refund for the 93rd cup you didn't get. You'll need a high-powered lawyer, though.
You should consider yourself lucky. You used to only get only 83 cups from a pouch but now it's 93. You don't actually get any more coffee, of course. You just need to be 'average' and therefore more rather more frugal with it.
