1. I subscribe to the digital app version of The i - mainly for the puzzles, but it also gets me a readable version of the paper on my iPad - (£4.99 per month)

2. I subscribe to The Times online - almost entirely to get digital access to the daily puzzles and a printable version of The Listener - but it gets me various versions of the paper too - (€5 per month - cheap because I'm in Ireland, not the UK)

3. Readly - a serious bargain at €9.99 a month for access to 'as printed' versions of a ridiculous number of magazines - I like the Photography and Tech Stuff, Gness fills her boots with Crochet and Knitting

4. Irish Independent - online and app versions - the best source of Irish news and also access to many local papers including The Kerryman for local stuff (approx €6.99 per month - depends on current offers).

The only physical paper is an occasional Saturday print issue of The i - only €1 over here and a useful TV guide, with loads of extra puzzles too.

In all it's about £25 a month - say £6 per week - much, much less than I used to pay for daily papers not so long ago.

The occasional Saturday Mail and Mail on Sunday.
Private Eye and Viz when I remember.

All the news and comment I need apart from this site. :-)
So about £2/week I suppose.
My only subscriptions are not news related. I can get what I need free. Plus of course I get free commentary on it here ;)

My subscriptions are to audio books and family history things.
We buy a paper on a Saturday and occasionally I buy the i.

That’s about £2 a week.
Years ago I used to subscribe to a few magazines but I stopped all that and don't have any subscriptions of that sort any longer. I just read free stuff online now.
My only subscription is IPTV TV with at least 100 plus channels, possibly more as never counted. All normal UK channels, Sky, Movies, Disney, all kids, all sports, all news and many European channels and US ones. Annual cost last year was £ 320
Just ditched my Private Eye subs - depressing & biased. Might buy one paper in the week & the Sunday Express (for the Skeleton).
Zero, why would you spend money on what is free anyway?
Haven't bought a physical paper for years.
I always get the Saturday Times, partly it would seem for the same reason as the OP.
I have a puzzle sub for the NYT.
That's about it.
I used to buy the Irish Times occasionally but it seemed to disappear from the shelves in GB a few years ago to be replaced by the Independent, a paper my dad loathed, and I'm sorry to say I'm not a fan either.
All other purchases are occasional.
I used to subscribe to several magazines and buy daily or weekend papers.
Now, I only subscribe to the NY Times...a connection to stateside news and viewpoints. £8 per month. I also get daily email bits from The Guardian.
