A Latest Scam? ‘ Hi Mum I’m Texting You From A Friends Phone As I’ve Forgotten Mine And This One Is About To Die,Cany You Text Me On..( Phone Number) No One In My Neck Of The Woods Is A Mum,They’re Mam , Will They Stop At Nothing ?

Not had the text but it's not new, been doing the rounds for years with various family members inserted instead of mum.

Just now had this email ;

Dear Beneficiary,

Kindly note that you are required as a matter of urgency to reconfirm your information including your name,phone number and your address for verification and immediate payment of your US$10.7Million within 24 hours.This is as a result of the mandate given to me by the President Federal Republic in conjunction with the Federal Executive Council (FEC),the Senate Committee on Foreign Debts Reconciliation and Implementation Panel on Contract/inheritance/compensation funds to complete all the unpaid Contract/inheritance/lottery fund.
We are sincerely sorry for any form of delay in payment of your funds.

Get back to me urgently.

There's always "urgency" in these scams...do something now or you've lost it for ever.
Nothing that is genuine is ever that urgent.
