If any ABer is contemplating visiting Westminster Hall to pay respect to the late Queen as her body lies in state, you might do well to take heed of the following less you fall foul of any of the rules;

What is the point ?

One doesn't have to pass the coffin to pay respects.

Virtue signalling of the highest order.
Alternatives for paying respect are included here :-

We visited the Palace of Westminster a few years ago and we were told that we were not allowed to die inside. Apparently, if you do, you are removed before you are certified dead. Just one of the wonderful traditions we have in the UK.
Here in Scotland at St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh - people will be able to file past the coffin from 5.30 pm. today till 3 pm. tomorrow (Tuesday). Entry will only be allowed if the person is wearing a wristband issued at the start of the queue. Airport-style security checks will be made with tight restrictions on what can be taken into the cathedral.
Waiting for hours is expected so I guess I will just stay at the TV!
I don't know how people can hang on that long before wanting the loo.
just what i thought - unless they put up portaloos. I will watch on the tv, as i can't stand for more than a few minutes these days, so 30 hours is a no no.
all seems reasonable… i had considered going out of curiosity but i’m not sure i will
Morbid curiosity Untitled?
i suppose you could call it that…
for the majority it's a mark of respect.
If the queen was so popular, why shouldn't people be allowed to take photos? The rules are a load of cobblers.
let them have their mark of respect without the need for photo's, there are already masses of photo's taken by royal photographers, the newspapers are full of them.
people wouldn't queue for many hours for no reason....
I'm travelling to London today. Nothing to do with the queen. We booked it weeks ago.
that's nice 10clarion st, hope you enjoy it.

Maybe Facebook, AB and the royal family would have a meltdown with all the activity?
Not to mention twitter ;-/
