Afternoon all - what are you planning for dinner tonight?

I will be having my take on a Salmon Poke Bowl - instead of sticky rice I use giant cous cous or pearl barely.

AB must bw at an all time low when sqad contributes to a "What's for Dinner" thread. Just finished....a simple peasant's meal. Lightly pan fried salmon in salted butter and black pepper. Idaho potatoes with lashings of cream and butter. Asparagus flashed in a hot pan. "Mad Fish" Western Australian Sauvignon. Pancakes ...baby pancakes crisp around the...

Barmaid....LOL.
Little Tigs has had a ready 'roast chicken dinner' meal courtesy of the microwave and I'm feeling ill and have lost my appetite. Will rummage around the fridge later if I feel hungry.
It's been a "let's use up stuff" evening for me.

I've had two-thirds of a can of baked beans (that's two portions for me) sitting in my fridge for the past few days and I found some Swedish meatballs hiding at the back of my freezer when I was restocking it after a big shop last night.

So I've just had Swedish meatballs with baked beans and a well-buttered jacket potato for my tea (or "dinner" for the posh folk out there) this evening.

I hope that you're feeling better soon. (I'm only just starting to eat properly again after a bad reaction to my Covid booster on Monday).
Sorry to hear that Chris. Glad you're feeling better now :o)
I had that Idaho mash last night with liver bacon and onion casserole, it really is very nice.
Sorry to hear that Buenchico, those beans will get you everytime.

For me: Pork sausages a dash oh of black pepper and garlic and some onions in gravy.. and of course mashed spuds with butter and cheese, I am a northerner.
how do you lot find time for extravagant meals get a job or something ;)

Everyone’s dinner sounds amazing but I have given BA to Sqad for honouring me with his presence!
I had better not let Mr Red see how Mrs Sqad dresses otherwise he will expect me to up my game!!
I feel sorry for Mrs Sqad. She appears to be chained to the kitchen sink!
What I was planning for OH to cook is now impossible. He now tells me we have no courgettes left. So now it's going to be fish and chips from the freezer.
LOL always a pleasure to be in your prescence, BA not necessary.............;-)
Only when she's not picking berries.
Sorry to disappoint you roadman, but some of us cook the same as we did when working. ;)
And some are still working.
Some work harder now they are not working than ever they did when working.
I work full time (in fact I often do 15-hour days) and we still have home cooked meals most nights.

I've stopped now to cook, but I'll start again about 7.30pm.
pork lion steak, roast potatoes, runner beans, carrots, sprouts and yorkshire puddings and then down to the pub for a few pints, i work on an early shift.
