A VPN tunnel is a secure and encrypted data connection to another system.

Microsoft Edge offers one ,you just select 'InPrivate'. I have a VPN on my ipad as it stops most adverts on all sites so is useful, but some sites block VPN by default so you have to turn it off to view some sites.

To be honest I have a son who has a senior job in IT and communications and works from home most of the time connecting up with places all over Britain and overseas.
