I need to fill a pavlova at the weekend with a dairy and gluten free cream, before I top it with fruit. I won't be able to use ice cream because it will have to be filled a couple of hours before it is needed.

I have heard that you can whip coconut cream, but it might not work. There are quite a few recipes out there, but I won't have time for experiments. So, if anyone has any tried and tested suggestions, I'd be grateful, please.

Elmlea Plnt is dairy free and vegan and whips. It tastes pretty good too. Not sure how long it holds up for though.
PS yes it is gluten free too
I seen that product earlier but there is a warning for those with a dairy allergy,

"Not suitable for milk allergy sufferers as this product is made in an environment or factory that handles dairy products"
That was about the Elmlea product.

Thanks all. I was going with the elmlea suggestion until I saw TCLs post. I can't risk that so it's Sainsbury's in the morning!
