I don’t believe Labour are getting ahead of themselves, it’s just that Johnson, quickly followed by Truss and Kwarteng are doing their job for them.
Anyone would look like a credible alternative to the present shower of $h!te, it wouldn’t be difficult. On top of that Labour had what appeared to be a decent conference and Starmer looked far more convincing than he has in a long time.
The Tories are alienating the electorate and their recent fiscal event has caused untold damage and benefitted only the wealthy.
It’s obvious the public are ready for a different strategy and a new set of ideas.
