morning, Saturday and the start of the weekend. I hope you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anything planned for today?

I am going to a friends for lunch and looking forward to it a lot, as i will see their new house for the first time.

today's forecast is a lowly 20c but sunny skies, which is good as its been raining most of yesterday and overnight. So hopefully i won't get wet.

Holiday in Menorca was swell thanks emmie, except for one stormy night. Hail stones the size of snooker balls caused much damage along with torrential flood waters. We ended up spending 30 minutes in the morning mopping up water which had somehow ingressed into our apartment. We got off light in comparison with others. The flight back to old blighty was bumpy due to turbulence. Mind you, flying doesn't bother me. Over the years, I've been to nearly as many places as my suitcase!

White Rabbits is supposed to give you protection from someone who might retaliate having been punched and punched. For example, they might attempt to 'poke you in the eye for being so sly'. So you must ensure you say White Rabbits!

that's good Zebu, glad you had a good time. Was it a golfing holiday?

We got three rounds of golf in during our stay. For what is considered a generally dry climate for that time of year, the course was in immaculate condition. Sadly my golf was far from immaculate lol However I was pleased that I broke the century twice with scores of 93 (3 below par for the course taking into account my handicap of 24) and a 98. To ashamed to tell you my other score of 109.

at least you enjoyed it. I don't play golf, nearest i got to it, was crazy golf down near Bognor pier.

i bet the flight was bumpy going on the weather we had yesterday.

Crazy Golf has become a bit of a craze. It has its own annual world championship event. You could be 2 putts and a windmill away from being a superstar emmie. Get down to the pier (that is, if it's still there) and start practising lol

last time i was at Bognor Pier, we all scattered my mums ashes, it was a generally filthy day weather wise, and a sad one too.

Sad to hear that! Bognor clearly meant something very special to your mum. Is this where you took your annual family holidays?

she ditched London when my baby brother was 5, he's now 50, and moved them both to Bognor, to be close to my other brother who lives there still.

Thank you for sharing a small part of your family history. Am I right to assume you're the eldest of all your siblings? Do you mind if I ask why you chose to stay in London?

My eldest brother 73 lives in the capital though i haven't seen him for some time. I worked in the capital and my heart wasn't in moving to Bognor all those years ago.

Oh emmie. When so many get their feet rooted in the mud of indecision, then later on in life begin to feel some regret, you have remained true to yourself. Very commendable! Today sees premiership football resume. This after last week's disappointing England performances which led to them being knocked out. Come on you Foxes... lol
