My bad!
I prefer fresh produce where I can.
(Fresh veg as opposed to can veg for example)
I was struggling financially at the time I first volunteered
(And later on taken on as staff)
I lived on tinned stuff etc, but now have the luxury of
been able to buy a bit of fresh stuff every week.
However, I do agree with others that cooking skills need to be
made mandatory in schools etc.
I once did ...as an experiment for the Foodbank... a week of living on just £2 a day.
Doable. just!

At the end of the week I felt like sh!!.
Foodbank food is just a 3 day emergancy package.
Fresh produce should be available to all...
