Unsigned letter

Some years ago who received an unsigned letter which read, 'Dear *******, I am writing to tell you that you could not tip more rubbish if Channel Four bought you a fork lift truck. And what makes it worse is that your awful toffee-nosed voice makes it sound as if they all went to Eton'? - - - Any leads will be very welcome.

I think Kayakamina has the right programme (Channel 4 Racing) but my tip would be (Lord) John Oaksey, who has an upper-class accent. John McCririck did attend Harrow, mind

Yes it was John Oaksey. Another version of the letter is:

"Dear *******, You couldn't tip more rubbish if they gave you a bl***y wheelbarrow.

"What's more, with that awful toffee-nosed accent you make it sound as if all the bleedin' losers went to Eton."

Thanks guys, I had looked at John McCririck but never found John Oaksey. Still looking for that reference.
