The Nicolas brothers were great dancers but they had the misfortune to be the wrong colour!

very true. you just find them in clips from old movies but they didn't play actual roles.

But Fred Astaire thought that was the greatest number ever filmed and so do I.

It's not just doing the splits as they land - it's getting up again without even bending their legs. They ought to have been fined for breaking the laws of physics.

This one has been a favourite for years. I love seeing old clips set to modern music.

It is all too energetic looking. I can't even walk in a straight line and if I step over something my balance goes screwy.

We used to get Scottish Country Dancing at school, it was like sort of torture from centuries ago.
